Dhikshana Turakhia Pering

Dhikshana Turakhia Pering has spent over 19 years working across museums, galleries and the wider creative and cultural sector—spaces that have shaped both her practice and her perspective.

She believes deeply that arts and culture should be accessible, relevant and reflective of the full diversity of our society. She is a strong advocate for programming that is culturally rooted, beautifully produced, and commercially confident, knowing that all three can sit powerfully together. A core part of her approach is building teams that are not only excellent at what they do, but grounded in joy, hope and optimism—believing that these foundations strengthen individuals, collectives and the work itself.

As Head of Creative Programmes at London Museum, Dhikshana continues to shape and champion this vision, drawing on her experience from institutions including the Science Museum, London Transport Museum, Brent 2020 – London Borough of Culture, and Somerset House.

Her career is defined by a commitment to creativity, collaboration and meaningful representation—leading teams to design and deliver award winning dynamic, inclusive programmes and experiences.

Alongside her professional work, she is dedicated to equity in leadership and cultural spaces. She has served as a Trustee of the Museums Association and is currently the Vice Chair of Clore Leadership.

And finally, she is mama to a very chatty seven-year-old named Seth. She loves a monogram, has a strong sneaker game, and swami orange is, without question, the favourite colour.
